Head Proportions Reference Resource!
I had this poster in my art class!
So this is how it is.
you are a savior of many drawings and paintings to come. thank you soooooo much for all of your tutorials and references!!!!
proko has a great video series on how to draw heads in a simplified andrew loomis method; just so you know
Is it possible for you to provide same semi mathematical reference for whole body?
I could certainly do that, but it might have to wait for a bit since theres a lot planned for the next 2 months!
Drawing this exactly as shown for 50+ times, I'll be able to train my subconcious to use this as refrence whenever I draw a Life drawing or Self Portrait. Ty
Thank you for these fav's
This is andrew loomis concept.
heh very precise
This is way better than the head proportion thing I learned from... That always made faces look stretched and weird. I just assumed I was doing it wrong. They had eyes being centered on that halfway mark, rather than the brow lining up to it. It all makes sense now.
Well the eyes are technically usually still centered from the very top of the head to the chin, but when starting with a sphere, then it is the brow line that is centered on the halfway mark. Glad this helps!
great. thank you for this
thats pretty cool! thanx!
