The exercise results are up! This was a more difficult one but the more you understand light and it's affect on color, the better digital artist you will become! Check out the results posting here: cgcookie.com/concept/2014/01/2…

Nice!! thank you so much for sharing!
lurk to learn and inspired here! thx for the tuts!
brilliant. absolutely brilliant work!
Lana Del Rey's portrait is beautiful!
Beautiful. O A O
Wow! Nice shot.
The plant is a thing of beauty, but both faces fail to recognise the shape in 3D, the distance of the objects and how the shadow is cast- especially in relation to the distance of the light source, to the shape and then surface the shadow is casted on. to the point that realistic lady is pretty much a painting on the wall. Amazingly executed, true, but lacking as the teaching material.
Exactly my thoughts
I agree with this, I was thinking that as well.
Yep +1 as well. Needs to express the form.
+1 vote for this, I'm thinking the same way
Wow this is amazing
Amazing work!!! Wow!
lanaaa del reyyy<3
I started jumping in my chair the second I saw LDR! I love her so much!!!
It would to an extent. Lana's is a bit off and the shadow lines should be placed slightly differently but in terms of the shadow falling on the faces, it is less about the forms of the face casting shadows and more on the obstructions casting the shadow upon the face, giving that almost sharp shadow line.
Hey, sorry to bother you here But I'd like to ask; Will there be a Twitch Livestream video of this to watch? When I attempted to watch the live feed on Wednesday it stopped working early on and therefore I missed it :c By the time it worked the stream was already offline. If not; so be it :'3 Thanks for your time and again; sorry to bother you about that here.
Unfortunately the stream was pretty poor quality so the stream never aired correctly. We are hoping to resolve that this week with the stream!
The girl on the right looks like Lana Del Rey. Thank you for the tips, They're so helpful
Thank you so much for all of your awesome and useful tutorials!
