Today's Livestream Topic - Drawing for Yourself over Drawing for Likes while drawing Christina

Want to see the time conversion or check out our community forum? Find that HERE!

Continuing the Sketchbook Kickstarter I will be creating a drawing of my character Christina from head to toe. (Her hair will be a fun one)

I also will be sharing my recent thoughts with drawing for yourself rather than for follower counts or perceived marketability. There is importance with knowing how to broadcast yourself as an artist but the balance needs to be there with drawing from a place of good intention and artistic endeavors.

So come join in as I create my sea dock princess as we discuss this topic!

I have a suggestion for a topic to cover if it's not already been covered: Resolution (and PPI).

Both of the art programs I use give me the option to change the resolution of my piece, but I'm not exactly sure what it is or how to use it. I've been messing with it some and I found that a 3x2k pixel piece at 300 resolution is actually much smaller than a 2x1k pixel piece at 75 resolution when you convert it to inches. So in a sense, it sort of dilutes the image file for a higher-quality print?

What sort of resolutions would be good to use? It seems like it would require a balance between quality and size, and sort of depends on what size you draw art.
